Most Frequently Asked Questions

Net Lawman is for anyone who needs a legal document or form – that is - almost everyone. Our customers are business managers representing business of every size, HR professionals, government agencies, NGOs, the legal profession and individuals.

All Net Lawman documents are drawn by us and we own the copyright (jointly with Andrew Taylor, our director). Technically, when you buy a document, you are buying a licence under the terms we give you. Presently, you are free to use a Net Lawman as many times as you like for as long as you like, for the purposes of a single business.  You may not sell our documents nor pass them on to any other person, nor use them for more than one business.  We make an exception for solicitors, who may use documents as often as they wish.

Of course we should be happy to do so.  Please send us more information about the sort of changes you require. We will give you a cost estimate for our work.  We charge only £80 an hour and you can buy as little as a half hour’s work.

We try to keep up with all legislation by constantly reviewing our documents. However, occasionally something “slips through the net”, just as it might with a solicitor. But in five years of trading we have yet to hear of any problem arising from that.

We require more detailed information to tell you precisely which document might suit you best.  However, the introduction pages and descriptions of the documents have been designed to help you choose the most suitable document for your circumstances.

The documents and forms are in Word format, or a format which Word can read. You can also choose for them to be in a different format when you access the ‘buy’ page. You can edit them very easily.

No, as you go through the motion of buying the document, you are asked to register as a process within the buying procedure. You do not have to register first.

Many, but not all, of our document templates can be ‘previewed’ before you buy. Click on the ‘Preview’ button next the document you want to see on the relevant introduction page. You can view most of the document although for obvious reasons, we mark the pages so you cannot see everything.

Alternatively, each document introduction page has a list of the specific provisions the document contains so you can check that the document includes everything you require.

The more you push the documents for sale, the more you will sell and the more commission you will earn. Here are some ideas you could consider. If you’d like more specific sales help, please contact us.
  • Place an advert linking to us on your homepage
  • Place an advert linking to any specific document, or document category, anywhere else on your site. Use our template adverts to help you or create your own advert.
  • Write a short article to be published in your newsletter and link to us there too.
  • Add a category in your main menu called ‘Legal documents’ and link to a page on your site that explains the importance of using quality legal documents. You could list some of the most suitable documents on this page too.
  • Add a category in your main menu called ‘Legal documents’ and on that page, list each of our main categories and link to them.
  • Use any of our legal articles to draw attention to any of the legal documents you support. If you do this, please acknowledge our copyright by adding ‘Copyright Net Lawman Ltd’ at the top of any text you have borrowed.
  • Ask us for more information
If you need any help with website copy / text or adverts, do contact us, explaining your requirement.

Yes and yes, although the law does change – a document you buy today may be out of date next week.
